There is three separate
releases of Sailing To Philadelphia,
the UK, the USA & Canada
and the rest of the world, so don't get confused!
The CD single What It Is
was released on 18th September
(except USA/Canada &
UK where a decision on the release
of a single is still to
be taken). A video to accompany the single
was filmed in Scotland at
the end of June.
NEW 2nd SINGLE:
A second CD single, an edited
version of Sailing To Philadelphia,
the title track from the
STP album, has been provisionally scheduled for
release on the 26th of February.
No video has been made though
there is expected to be
TV advertising to promote the new single
should it be released commercially.
No decision has been made
regarding the commercial
release of a second single but the
countries may do so: Austria,
Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany,
Holland, Ireland, Italy,
Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland,
the UK, Australia and New
Zealand.

MASIAKASAURUS KNOPFLERI: It appears that scientists
in the USA have
decided to name a dinosaur after Mark! It appears
that three of the scientists
are MK fans and they often played Cannibals whilst
digging for bones.

VIDEO PRESS KIT: Mark has
made a video press kit,
an approximately 35 minute
documentary type programme
tracing his life and career
from the early days in Newcastle
through to the heights of
rock stardom. It is presented by
Mariella Frostrup who was
Polygram's Press Officer for
Dire Straits during the
1980s. The documentary was filmed
during June and July in
Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds and London.
We have no information about
when or if this
will be shown in any particular
country.
