ERIC CLAPTON
was born in England 1945.
He is influenced
by american blues and rock,
especially
by Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters and Big Bill Broonzy.
In the sixties
he developed his blues-style in Yardbirds and Cream.
Later he founded
his own band, Derek and the Dominoes,
which made
the hit-single Layla. In the eighties and nineties Clapton
has made his
career as a soloartist, and in the album From the Cradle,
released 1993,
you can still feel the strong influence of blues.
With his unique
style he has earned strong status among the most
respected
and skilled guitarist of the world.
